Why should I use trendlines, S/R levels, and divergences?

Because these are traditional tools in technical analysis, such as candlestick patterns, pivot points, peak/bottom analysis, etc. They are more transparent, widely used, and easier to verify manually than many black-box indicators, which is why professional traders have been using these tools for a long time.

DO YOUR INDICATORS REPAINT?

Can TrueTL indicators be useful for beginners and advanced traders?

They can be useful for both beginners and advanced traders, but they do not replace learning, testing, and risk management. Our indicators:

• help analyze the chart for beginners
• help make decisions more quickly
• decrease the possibility of mistakes
• save time and are more comfortable

Is this the holy grail?

No, the Holy Grail does not exist. Our advice is: give up the search for it. At the beginning, you have to do a lot of learning and testing. When you understand the basic tools and develop your own complete strategy, including entries, exits, and money management, trading can become more structured and manageable. CAN I COMBINE TRUETL INDICATORS WITH EACH OTHER?

Yes, and they work very well together. For example, a divergence appearing at a strong S/R level where the price pierces the level but does not close above it — combined with a reversal candle pattern — is a significantly stronger signal than any one of these alone. Similarly, an RSI trendline break to the upside that coincides with a price level break, or a divergence confirmed by a 3-touch trendline, are classic examples of indicators reinforcing each other. The combinations are entirely up to you — it depends on your personal strategy and trading style.

WHICH INDICATOR IS BEST FOR MY TRADING?

There is no single indicator or simple sentence that can guarantee profitable trading. Our approach is that a trader has to know all the traditional tools of technical analysis (trendlines, divergences, S/R levels, candlestick patterns, etc.) and with this knowledge, they can decide what they would like to use for their individual trading style. For example, we know some traders who never use trendlines but still make a profit and we also know traders who can't live without this tool. The same is true for the divergence indicators. For example, we can’t tell which one is better: the RSI or OBV divergence indicator.

WHICH ARE THE BEST SETTINGS FOR YOUR INDICATORS?

With our development work and the configurability of our tools, we try to meet our customers' unique needs. The default settings work well and are useful when you start trading, but the best settings depend on your trading style.

How many pips can this tool make per month?

It's up to you and your personal strategy. TrueTL indicators draw trendlines, S/R levels, divergences, and other technical analysis tools, but they do not generate profit by themselves. Using them is similar to drawing these tools manually, only faster and more comfortable. That's why we can't talk about "accuracy" or "profit/loss rate". Where can I find a description of the strategy?

We shared our two strategies on the EXAMPLE page (https://www.truetl.com/example.php), but TrueTL indicators are not a trading system and we are a software development team, not an educational firm. Our strategies work well for us, but we are not sure whether they would suit you too. Nobody can tell you in a few sentences how to trade or which decision is “right” or “wrong”. You can find many ideas on many sites, but you have to develop your own complete trading personality, unique trading style, and money management.

WHICH BROKER DO YOU RECOMMEND?

We are a software development team, not investment advisors, so we cannot and do not recommend any specific broker. Our indicators work perfectly with any broker that supports MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. The choice of broker is entirely your responsibility. We have been in this market long enough to have seen well-regulated brokers under FCA supervision go under — with clients compensated within months — and we have also seen brokers under less strict supervision hide their insolvency for years. Regulatory oversight matters, but it is no guarantee. Please do your own research before choosing a broker.

WHICH TIMEFRAMES AND INSTRUMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

TrueTL indicators are based on traditional technical analysis tools: trendlines, support/resistance levels, and divergences. These work on every timeframe from M1 to MN1, and on any instrument: forex pairs, CFDs, stocks, indices, cryptocurrencies, and more. Whether you prefer scalping, day trading, or long-term trading, the tools are equally applicable. The right timeframe and instrument depend entirely on your personal trading strategy.

Can I use your indicators with binary options?

Because our indicators are traditional tools, they can be used with any instrument, on any timeframe, and also with binary options. Binary options require different entry and risk management methods than "normal" trading. We have seen some strategies using RSI trendlines or CCI divergences, but we describe our own preferred approach to trading on the EXAMPLE page: https://www.truetl.com/example.php

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUETL AND DEMARK TRENDLINES?

For example, True Trendline Indicator draws all trendlines, not just two of them, and not inaccurately like Demark does. True Trendline Indicator analyzes movements from the first candle in the chart’s history, and it sets the end of the trendline to the last pullback. It marks all 3-touch trendlines and the lowest / highest trendlines too... and so on. Is TrueTL compatible with Renko charts?

Yes, since version 1.3, all indicators have been compatible with offline charts. You can use them on Renko charts, bar charts, tick charts, etc. You can follow our development work on the UPDATE page: https://www.truetl.com/update.php

IS THERE A FREE VERSION?

Yes. We offer 37 free oscillator indicators for both MT4 and MT5. They include multi-timeframe support, detailed alert options, and signal arrows with extensive configuration options. Please note that the free indicators do not draw trendlines, divergences, or support/resistance levels — those features are part of the paid indicators. You can browse and download the free indicators on our INDICATORS page.

WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR IT? I CAN FIND MANY FREE TOOLS.

Yes, you can find some free and paid solutions, but we have to say that they do not come close to TrueTL's knowledge and accuracy. Those tools may seem similar to TrueTL at first sight, but after a deeper examination, the difference will be absolutely clear to everyone. Give it a try!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? HOW CAN I PAY?

Please check the license options and payment methods on our BUY page: https://www.truetl.com/buy.php. Basically, we accept PayPal and credit cards via PayPal. If these are not available for you, we accept Skrill, Bitcoin, and WebMoney. Alternative payments are processed manually, but the confirmation email should still arrive within 24 hours. If you do not receive it, please contact us and we will help solve the problem.

DO YOU OFFER A MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE OR REFUNDS?

We highly recommend starting with our low-cost 30-day license to test the indicators on your system. Because of this low-cost entry option, we generally do not offer refunds. While many of our customers trust us and purchase the Lifetime package immediately, we always advise starting with the 30-day version if you are unsure. In extremely rare and exceptional cases, such as an unsolvable technical or network issue on your end, we can issue a refund. However, to put your mind at ease, since 2011 this has only happened a few times out of thousands of users.

WHAT ARE THE LICENSE OPTIONS?

We offer three license types:

• 30 days — a short-term option, ideal for trying out the indicators
• 365 days — a full year of access
• Lifetime — one-time purchase, no further payments

All licenses include both the MT4 and MT5 versions; no separate purchase is needed. You can use TrueTL on as many devices and MetaTrader accounts as you want, demo or live, MT4 or MT5, any broker, any computer. The only limit: 3 devices at the same time. If the same username/license key is used on more than 3 devices at the same time, the license can be temporarily blocked for a few hours. CAN YOU GIVE A DISCOUNT?

I have seen your indicators at a lower price.

CAN I USE YOUR INDICATORS WITH MULTIPLE METATRADER ACCOUNTS OR DEVICES?

You can use TrueTL on as many devices and MetaTrader accounts as you want, demo or live, MT4 or MT5, any broker, any computer. The only limit: 3 devices at the same time. Nothing has to be transferred and no registration is required per device. Simply install and run the indicator on any machine you like. If the same username/license key is used on more than 3 devices at the same time, the license can be temporarily blocked for a few hours.

MY LICENSE HAS EXPIRED. HOW CAN I RENEW IT?

For the protection of our customers, we don't use any automatic payment functions. Subscription cancellation is not needed. If you want to use our indicators again, you should buy another license the same way you did the first time on the buy page: https://www.truetl.com/buy.php

CAN I PURCHASE ANOTHER 30-DAY LICENSE BEFORE THE PREVIOUS ONE HAS EXPIRED?

Yes, of course. In this case, we will extend the previous license's expiry date by another 30 days so you will not lose any days.

I HAVE PURCHASED TRUETL INDICATORS BUT I FORGOT MY USERNAME. CAN YOU HELP ME?

Yes, of course. Your username is a unique license identifier that you received in your confirmation email after purchase. Simply contact us from the same email address you used when you paid, and we will send it back to you. I PURCHASED YOUR INDICATORS. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THEM?

After your purchase, we will send a confirmation email within 24 hours (usually within 3 minutes). Please check your spam / bulk / junk folders or check your spam filter settings in order to receive our emails. If you do not receive the confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us from the payment email address and we will help solve the problem.

HOW FAST IS YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT? WHEN CAN I EXPECT A REPLY?

For technical issues and product-related problems, we usually reply within 1 hour, but always within a maximum of 24 hours on business days. For less urgent inquiries, such as questions about trading strategies, future plans, or general conversations, it may take up to 48 hours, as we must prioritize technical support requests. Rest assured, we never leave a customer with an unresolved technical issue. We will always find a solution to get your indicators working perfectly.

I BOUGHT TRUETL INDICATORS. CAN I GET THE UPDATES?

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY LIFETIME LICENSE IF YOUR SITE IS SHUT DOWN BY AN UNPREDICTABLE EVENT?

The Lifetime license means lifetime access to the TrueTL product, not a time-limited subscription. As the owners of TrueTL, we have fully functioning offline versions of our indicators. We absolutely do not plan to stop our services, but if that ever happens, we can send these offline versions to every customer who has a Lifetime license.

IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL WITH THIS TOOL, WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT?

The reasoning behind this question applies only to an EA, because that instrument does not involve any human factors, and each copy does the same thing at the same time. If anyone creates a profitable EA, selling it and distributing copies of it may be very dangerous, because sooner or later those acts will make an impact on the market, which is not favorable for the developers or anyone for that matter. Our indicator is not an EA; it is a tool that can help human traders, and it can be used in many different ways, so there is no danger in selling it.

I HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR NEW FEATURES. CAN I SHARE THEM?

Of course, this does not mean that we will implement every idea in our tool automatically, but if we find your idea useful to many people, then we will use it. This has already happened many times.

DO YOU HAVE A USER’S MANUAL OR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS?

The website acts as the manual and is kept updated. It contains all necessary information about the installation (https://www.truetl.com/support.php) and the indicators' settings (https://www.truetl.com/indicators.php) with pictures and videos. These are always changing as we continuously develop the indicators.

WHAT COMPUTER CONFIGURATION IS RECOMMENDED FOR RUNNING TRUETL INDICATORS?

Any computer less than 10 years old is generally sufficient. As a practical starting point, we recommend at least an Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer) or equivalent, with 16 GB of RAM. TrueTL indicators are not particularly demanding — performance issues are rarely caused by the indicators themselves, but rather by the operating system configuration, background processes, or other resource-heavy indicators running at the same time. A clean, well-maintained Windows installation and a stable, fast network connection make a bigger difference than raw hardware power.

IF I ATTACH TRUETL INDICATORS, CAN THEY SLOW DOWN THE CHARTS?

Any indicator slows down MetaTrader, but our indicators don't require more resources than any other indicator with a complex algorithm. TrueTL indicators calculate only when the candle closes or if you run the "[TrueTL] Calculate" script. The speed also depends on your internet connection and your computer. In normal cases, you can use our indicators on 20+ open charts at the same time. But if you attach other indicator(s) that use force refresh on every tick, then the TrueTL indicator's calculation will run on every tick. Please find out which indicator uses force refresh and remove it.

I TRIED TO INSTALL THE INDICATORS BUT IT ISN’T WORKING.

Please check these common mistakes during installation:

If the indicator doesn't show anything or shows only the oscillator indicator (RSI, CCI, etc.), then please check whether TrueTL_Http32.dll was copied to the MQL4/Libraries folder for MT4 or TrueTL_Http64.dll was copied to the MQL5/Libraries folder for MT5. Please copy all files and folders from the zip file or use the self-extractor version.

If the indicator shows the "TrueTL: DLL call is not allowed. Please enable in the MetaTrader settings." message in the alert window, then please enable "Allow DLL imports" in the indicator settings window (Common tab) or in the MetaTrader options panel (Tools -> Options and Expert Advisors tab).

If the indicator shows the "Enter your username into TrueTL indicator" message on the chart, then please enter the username you received in the confirmation email into the second field (Username) in the indicator's settings panel (Inputs panel).

DO YOU HAVE AN MT5 VERSION?

Yes, our indicators are available for both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. There is no practical difference between the MT4 and MT5 versions in installation, updates, features, or everyday use. Both versions work the same way, and you can download both on our update page: https://www.truetl.com/update.php

DO YOUR INDICATORS RUN UNDER TRADING VIEW OR OTHER PLATFORMS?

Currently, our indicators work only on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Supporting other platforms such as TradingView or NinjaTrader requires the ability to make HTTP POST calls from within that platform, as well as a way to apply our copy protection. Until these conditions can be met on a given platform, we are unable to release our indicators there. We appreciate your understanding.

THE DIVERGENCE ALERT LAGS WITH 1-2 BARS. WHY?

The arrow appears when the trigger candle closes and the divergence formation is valid. The indicator alerts when the arrow appears. The divergence lines connect the tops/bottoms, but until the oscillator and price have turned around, we can't be sure that the divergence has formed. The arrow indicates this complete formation at the earliest time when we can see the divergence formation.

If you'd like to enter earlier, our indicators also include a Divergence Prediction mode, which shows possible divergences before the candle closes. Please note this carries higher risk — details can be found in the indicator's description.

CAN I MAKE AN EA WITH YOUR INDICATORS? CAN YOU GIVE SOURCE CODE?

We can't share our source code, but EA integration is fully supported via iCustom(). The buffers cover all indicator data: peaks, bottoms, ZigZag, oscillator values, and more. The paid indicators provide 5 user-configurable signal slots; the free indicators provide 3. Each indicator includes a TXT file in the package that lists the complete buffer assignment, all input parameter enumerators, and variable types, so your EA can not only read back all signal buffers but also fully customize the indicator's settings programmatically. The buffer layout is also documented directly in the indicator's settings panel. Integration is straightforward and complete. THE INDICATOR SHOWS THIS MESSAGE: "NETWORK ERROR! TRY TO CHANGE THE TF OR INSTRUMENT." WHY?

It's a universal message that appears when the indicator can't connect to our servers for the calculation. In this case, please check your internet connection (router, firewall, VPN, etc.), allow connections for "TrueTL_Http32.dll" on MT4 or "TrueTL_Http64.dll" on MT5 via port 80, and refresh the indicator (by changing the timeframe/instrument or restarting MetaTrader). If your firewall requires a domain whitelist, please allow ttlcalcs.com. Our server availability is more than 99.7% (we have two servers for redundancy), but sometimes minimal downtime may occur despite our efforts.

WHAT DATA DOES THE INDICATOR SEND TO YOUR SERVER?

The indicator sends only about 300-400 candles of the current instrument and the indicator's settings to our server - nothing else. No personal data, no account numbers, no names, nothing that could identify you in any way. The server uses this data solely to perform the calculations and send the results back to the indicator. The candle data is not stored after the calculation; it is deleted immediately. This can be verified at any time with a simple network sniffer, and since TrueTL has been running since 2011, any suspicious activity would have been discovered long ago.
