Installation steps

You can find the download links in the confirmation email that You received after purchase or you can login at our UPDATE page.

Install on Windows with Installer - Highly Recommended!

Please use this .exe file for the installation because it's easy, fast and it has less possibilities for mistakes. Run the downloaded .exe file and follow the instructions.

Install on Windows from zip file

If your computer has strong antivirus or antispyware protection you can install our indicators from the ZIP file. In this case please copy all files and folders from the MQL4 or MQL5 folder to the Metatrader's MQL4 or MQL5 folder. If the indicator doesn't draw anything then you didn't copy the "Libraries" folder from the zip file to the Metatrader's Data Folder/MQL4 or Data Folder/MQL5 folder. We've changed the directory structure in the ZIP file for easier installation. Please follow the below 5 steps:

• STEP 1: Download the zip file from our UPDATE page or from the confirmation email that you received after your purchase.
• STEP 2: In Metatrader click on the "Open Data Folder" in the File menu.
• STEP 3: Copy the downloaded file (in step 1) to the opened folder (in step 2).
• STEP 4: Close Metatrader.
• STEP 5: Right click on the copied zip file and try to find "Extract All" and please don't modify the file path or anything and accept “overwrite the files” if necessary.

Install on MAC with Self-Extractor

Basically the Metatrader is runs under Windows on PC. The 10.14 or earlier versions of macOS are able to run Wine + Metatrader as suggested by many brokers. The 10.15 (Catalina) or higher versions of macOS can run only 64 bit applications. On a computer like this only virtualisation softwares can run (such as Parallels) and the Metatrader and indicator installation method is the same as on the PC. SEE THE STEPS IN SLIDESHOW

Why should i use trendlines, SR levels, divergences?

Because these are traditional tools in technical analysis, such as candlestick pattern, pivot points, peak/bottom analysis, etc. These tools are better than the "noname" forex indicators, that’s why professional traders who are moving a lot of money - on behalf of institutions - have been using these tools for a long time.

YOUR INDICATORS ARE REPAINT?

Are truetl indicators recommended for everyone?

Yes, both for the beginner and advanced traders equally, because our indicators:

• help analyze the chart for beginners
• help make decisions more quickly
• decrease the possibility of mistakes
• save time and are more comfortable

Is this the holy grail?

No, the Holy Grail does not exist, and if we can give you an advice: give up the search for it. At the beginning you have to do a lot of hard learning and testing. But when you know exactly how to use the basic tools, and you’ve developed your own custom strategy (exact entry-exit, and money management) that is comfortable for you – and if you have superior mental ability – then you will find out that forex trading is the best and easiest job in the world. WHICH IS THE BEST INDICATOR FOR THE TRADING? WHAT CAN YOU SUGGEST?

Only one indicator or a sentence for a profitable trading doesn't exist. Our approach is that a trader has to know all the traditional tools of the technical analysis (trendline, divergence, S/R level, candle-pattern, etc.) and with this knowledge they can decide what he would like to use for his individual trading style. For example we know some traders who never used trendlines but are still making a profit and we also know traders who can't live without this tool. The same is true for the divergence indicators. For example, we can’t tell which one is better: the RSI or OBV divergence indicator.

WHICH ARE THE BEST SETTINGS FOR YOUR INDICATORS?

With our developments and the configurability of our tools we try to meet our customers' unique needs. The default settings are working well and are useful to start trading but the best settings depend on your trading style.

How many pips could this tool do monthly?

It's up to you and your personal strategy. TrueTL indicators "only" draw the trendlines, SR Levels, divergences, and there are a million ways to use this information. Using them is similar to drawing them manually. That's why we can't talk about "accuracy" or "profit/loss rate". Your balance growth depends on your trading style, money management, market situation, etc. We show a possible way of beginning to develop your personal strategy, and some other ideas on the page: https://www.truetl.com/example.php

Where can i find a description of the strategy?

We shared our two strategies on the EXAMPLE page (https://www.truetl.com/example.php), but TrueTL indicators are not a trading system and we are a software developer team not an educational firm. Our strategies are comfortable for us, but we are not sure if they would be comfortable for you too. Nobody can tell you in a few sentences how to trade or which decision is “right or wrong”. You can find many ideas on many sites, but you have to develop your own complete trading personality, and your unique trading style and money management.

WHAT KIND OF INSTRUMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED TO USE WITH TRUETL?

Because the trendline, S/R levels, divergences are traditional tools for traders, these indicators are useful for any forex pair, cfd, stocks, in any timeframe.

Can I use your indicators with binary options?

Because our indicators are traditional tools they can be used with any instrument and in any timeframe and with binary options also. The binary option requires a different entry and risk management method than the "normal" trading. We have seen some strategies with RSI trendline or CCI divergence but we described our own approach to trading on the EXAMPLE page and we prefer that: https://www.truetl.com/example.php

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUETL AND DEMARK TRENDLINES?

For example, True Trendline Indicator draws all trendlines, not just two of them, and not inaccurately like Demark does. True Trendline Indicator analyses the movements from the first candle in the chart’s history, and it sets the end of the trendline to the last pullback. It marks all 3 touches trendlines and the lowest / highest trendlines too… and so on... Is truetl compatible with renko chart?

Yes, from the 1.3 version all indicators are compatible with offline charts. You can use them on Renko chart, Bar chart, Tick chart, etc. You can see our developments on the UPDATE page: https://www.truetl.com/update.php

WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR IT? I CAN FIND MANY FREE TOOLS.

Yes, you can find some solutions for free or not free, but we have to say that those are not close to the TrueTL's knowledge and accuracy. Those tools may seem similar to TrueTL at first sight, but after a deeper examination the difference will be absolutely clear for everyone. Give it a try!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? HOW CAN I PAY?

I have seen your indicators at a lower price.

CAN I USE YOUR INDICATORS WITH MULTIPLE METATRADER ACCOUNTS OR DEVICES?

One license can be used by only one person with an unlimited number of Metatrader accounts (demo or live), on a maximum of 3 devices simultaneously.

MY LICENSE HAS EXPIRED. HOW CAN I RENEW IT?

For the protection of our customers we don't use any automatic payment functions. Cancellation of subscription isn't needed. If You want to use our indicators again You should buy another license the same way you did the first time on the buy page: https://www.truetl.com/buy.php

CAN I PURCHASE ANOTHER 30 DAYS LICENSE BEFORE THE PREVIOUS HAS EXPIRED?

Yes of course. In this case we will increase the last license's expiry date with another 30 days so you will not lose any days.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY LIFETIME LICENSE IF YOUR SITE IS SHUTDOWN BY AN UNPREDICTABLE EVENT?

As the owners of TrueTL, we have the fully functioning offline versions of our indicators. We absolutely do not plan to stop our services, but if it happens, we can send these offline versions to every customer who has a lifetime-license.

IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL WITH THIS TOOL, WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT?

The way of thinking behind this question applies only to an EA, because that instrument does not contain any human factors, and each one of it does the same thing at the same time. If anyone creates a profitable EA, selling it and making copies of it may be really dangerous, because sooner or later those acts will make an impact on the market, which is not favorable for the developers or anyone for that matter. Our indicator is not an EA, it is a tool that can help human beings, it has a million ways to use, so there is no danger in selling it.

I HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR NEW FEATURES. CAN I SHARE IT?

Of course, this does not mean that we will implement every idea in our tool automatically, but if we find your idea useful for many people, then we will use it. It has already happened many times.

DO YOU HAVE A USER’S MANUAL OR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS?

We do not have a manual because our website contains all necessary information about the installation (https://www.truetl.com/support.php) and the indicators’ settings (https://www.truetl.com/indicators.php) with pictures and videos. These are always changing as we are developing the indicators continuously.

IF I ATTACH TRUETL INDICATORS CAN THEY SLOW DOWN THE CHARTS?

Any indicator slows down the Metatrader but our indicators don't require more resources than any other indicator would that has a complex algorithm. TrueTL Indicators calculate only when the candle is closed or if you run the "[TrueTL] Calculate" script, and also, the speed depends on your internet connection and your computer. In normal cases you can use our indicators on 20+ opened charts at the same time. But if you attached other indicator(s) that use force refresh on every tick, then the TrueTL indicator's calculation will run on every tick. Please find out which indicator uses the force refresh and remove it.

I TRIED TO INSTALL THE INDICATORS BUT IT ISN’T WORKING.

Please check these common mistakes during installation:

If the indicator doesn't show anything or shows only the oscillator indicator (RSI, CCI, etc.) then please check if the POST.dll is copied from the MQL4/Libraries or MQL5/Libraries folder. Please copy all files and folders from the zip file or use the self-extractor version.

If the indicator shows the "TrueTL: DLL call is not allowed. Please enable in the Metatrader settings." message in the alert window then please enable the "Allow DLL imports" in the indicator settings window (Common tab) or in the Metatrader options panel (Tools -> Options and Expert Advisor tab)

If the indicator shows the "Enter your username into TrueTL indicator" message on the chart then please enter Your username that You received in the confirmation email to the second field (Username) in the indicator's settings panel (Inputs panel).

DO YOU HAVE MT5 VERSION?

The indicators work under Metatrader 4 only. We have some beta version indicators for Metatrader 5, but it has a lot of bugs and that's why the development is progressing slowly. You can download them on our update page: https://www.truetl.com/update.php

DO YOUR INDICATORS RUN UNDER TRADING VIEW?

Our indicators work under Metatrader only. We plan to release them for other platforms (TradingView, NinjaTrader, etc.).

THE DIVERGENCE ALERT LAGS WITH 1-2 BARS. WHY?

The arrow appears when the trigger candle is closed and the divergence formation is valid. The indicator alerts when the arrow has appeared. The divergence lines connect the tops/bottoms, but until they haven't turned around the oscillator and the price we can't be sure if the divergence is formed. The arrow indicates this complete formation at the earliest time when we can see the divergence formation.

We plan an option for divergence prediction in one of our updated versions of our indicators but it has higher risks.

CAN I MAKE EA WITH YOUR INDICATORS? CAN YOU GIVE SOURCE CODE?

We can’t share our source code. Our indicators use the buffers only for the oscillator drawing. You can develop your EA with ObejctGet() command that can get the drawn objects’ (trendline and horizontal lines) data.

THE INDICATOR SHOWS THIS MESSAGE: "NETWORK ERROR! TRY TO CHANGE THE TF OR INSTRUMENT." WHY?

It's a universal message that appears when the indicator can't connect to our servers for the calculation. In this case please try checking your internet connection (router, firewall, vpn, etc.) to allow connection for “POST.dll” via port 80 and refresh the indicator (with timeframe/instrument change or restart Metatrader). Our servers’ availability is more than 99,7% (we have two servers for the redundancy) but sometimes minimal downtime may occur despite our efforts.

DO YOU ACCEPT PERSONAL PROGRAMMING REQUESTS?

Since 03.04.2014 we don't accept these requests because we would like to focus on the development of our indicators. We have a lot of ideas and we receive many requests for future developments.
